Words of Commission and Benediction (Please read the BOLD print.)

The world cries to us in its distress. How shall we answer?

We cannot pass by as though nothing is wrong.
How shall we answer?

We cannot become so focused on ourselves that others mean nothing to us.
How shall we answer?
We shall be the neighbor in service, reconciliation and compassion wherever we can.

We are sent forth into the world assured of God's mercy and love.  Amen.

*Choral Benediction                                 “Blest Be the Tie”                                                DENNIS

“Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love;

The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.  Amen.”

*Please stand, as you are able.

Please recycle your bulletin.

Have mercy, Lord, have mercy.

Have mercy, Lord, have mercy.

Where are those who thirst for justice?

Where are those who yearn for peace?

Why must fear and hatred bind us?

When will captives find release?

Make us ones who thirst for justice.

Make us ones who work for peace.

Help untie the fears that bind us.

Grant our captive hearts release.

Bring us, O Christ, to share

the fullness of your joy;

baptize us in the risen life

that death cannot destroy.

Three personed God, fulfill

the promise of your grace,

that we, when all our searching ends,

may see you face to face.
