Choral Ensemble

Let us sing together!

Our new Multigenerational Choral Ensemble will learn songs and hymns based on the lectionary readings and rehearse choral music to be shared during our corporate worship.

We will gather in the worship space at 10:00 a.m.on Sunday morning.

Please join us!

Caring in Community

Opportunities are always present for us to minister in caring ways throughout the community.  We join in God's work to care for the earth and all creatures who call this earth home.  There are many ways in which we can participate in God's reconciling and redeeming work -- being good stewards of the environment through recycling, assisting with care and maintaining properties, providing shelter, food and clothing.  These are ongoing works.  Please let us know the ways that you can help.

Currently  --

we are not only recycling paper, but will also recycle plastic bottles, etc, (1 and 2).

we are enabling several families through asssistance to stay in their homes and are empowering and equiping them for better days.

providing mentorship and companionship.

maintaining a food pantry for emergency needs and collecting food on an ongoing basis for the Central Virginia Food Bank.

Care Packages

We are gathering items for Jacob Dohogne who is serving in Iraq (2nd tour of duty) and for PV2 Anthony Riganti, who is serving in Afghanistan.

For additional information contact Dr. Poti.

Food Pantry

Each month we contribute to the Central Virginia Food Bank through your donations of canned goods and shelf stable food items and through monetary contributions to the Central Virginia Food Bank which they will use to suplement donations of actual food items. We continue our collection with emphasis on soup (ready to heat and serve), tuna, peanut butter and canned vegetables.

We also maintain a limited supply of shelf stable food for emergency needs at the church.

Discipleship Class for Older Children

Our Discipleship classes have ended for Spring 2009. Private consultation is always available to those with questions about what it means to be a Christian, what is our Christian heritage and our Baptist heritage, what do the ordinances we observe and the convenants and affirmation of faith that we speak mean to our community of believers.

Let Dr. Poti know if you'd like to come by and chat.
